Strategy

We aim to restructure, fine-tune and inform the candidates natural skills and skills learned from precious medical knowledge and ensure they get the success they deserve from PLAB exam for life to follow.

Our course strategy is to acclimatise, induce and train our candidates with the skills required to be a successful doctor in UK and of course would apply to simulated consultations navigated in exam which aren’t much different to standards expected by patients in daily medical practice.

Methodology

Our morning sessions area dedicated to covering basic applied knowledge for common and important medical conditions. Focussed history examination techniques and management plans would be touched.

The afternoon sessions are purely consulation skills demonstration within the UK validatedframeworks. At the end of each day candidates will be upskilled to an expert level in managingthose conditions. But largely the skills learned would apply to most given medical conditions hencecreating versatility of skill base and consulting skills.

Clinical skills

Candidateswould be trained with practice offered through mannequins including commonly tested skillslike CPR and basic life support, suturing skills, IV cannulations and Basic clinical examinationsto name a few. Candidates would be trained in communicationsinvolvedespecially consenting skills.

Besides proficiency in actual procedures. Training would be derived by experts in the respective subjects.

Medico-legal and ethical training

Candidates would be trained in common grey medical areas and the ethical problems and solutions proposed for such clinical scenarios in anevidence-based manner including GMC guidance.

Mock exams

Mock exams would be exact simulations of exam scenario and candidates would get a live experience of the exam environment. Emphasis placed on time management eventually trained to complete the exam successfully. And of course, create empathetic, self-aware, hardworking committed doctors.
